PANJIM: Goa University (GU) on Tuesday said it was hoping to get approvals from the State government before the start of this academic year to fill up various vacancies at the university. GU hopes to recruit new staff by November 2017.
Speaking to Herald, GU Registrar, Y V Reddy said, “We have written to the government and we are waiting for the approval, as soon as we get it the university will advertise the vacant posts. We are hoping to get the approval from the government before the academic year starts. We will then announce the application time and date and once applications come in the committee will screen the applications for eligibility.”
He added, “Then interviews will start. Once the interviews start, the process takes almost 2-3 months. If we get approval by the beginning of the academic year I think by October or November the University shall be in a position to recruit people.”
