PANJIM: In view of ongoing COVID pandemic, the Goa University has decided not to hold Semester End Examination (SEE) for BA LLB and LLB programmes offered by its affiliated colleges for the current academic year 2019-20, while maintaining that no students will be detained from moving to the next semester.
However, the final year theory and practical examination and repeat exams for the courses will be conducted from July 1 onwards.
This was stated n a circular issued on Tuesday by the University Registrar Y V Reddy, which was in in accordance with the Special Ordinance.
Cancels semesters for BE courses
PANJIM: The Goa University on Tuesday cancelled Semester End Examination for the second, fourth and sixth semester for undergraduate engineering programmes (BE) offered by its affiliated colleges for the current academic year.
In a circular issued, the University has said that no students shall be detained from moving to the next semester and that they will be graded based on the marks scored by them in the internal test during the current semester. The students have been given the option to answer additional internal tests. Final year examination of the students and repeat examination of lower semester will be conducted from July 1 onwards.
NSUI for promoting students en masse
PANJIM: The National Students Union of India (NSUI) has urged Goa Governor and Chancellor of Goa University Satya Pal Malik demanding mass promotion of all the students, studying various courses in Goa University and its affiliated colleges in view of current COVID pandemic.
