PANJIM: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, Daulat Hawaldar has been appointed as Secretary of key departments like Mines and Geology, Environment, Forest, Education apart from holding the Finance department.
P Krishnamurthy will be Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister with additional charge of Pr Resident Commissioner, New Delhi. Ashok Kumar will be the Secretary to Chief Minister with additional charge of Director, Municipal Administration and Member Secretary, GSUDA. The order listing out the fresh allocation of departments was issued on Wednesday by Under Secretary (Personnel 1) Shashank Thakur.
Interestingly Ameya Abhyankar has been moved out as special secretary (Budget) and been replaced by Isha Khosla, who will also be officer on special duty (OSD) on infrastructure project in the Chief Minister’s office.
Abhyankar is Secretary of Goa Public Service Commission, Information Technology and Chief Executive Officer of Entertainment Society of Goa. Chief Secretary, Dharmendra Sharma, will hold PWD, Transport, Vigilance, Home, Tourism and Personnel Departments.
W V Ramanmurthy will be the Secretary for Co-operation, Social Welfare, Civil Aviation and Protocol Department, whereas Padma Jaiwal will be the Secretary for Public Grievances, NRI Affairs, Official Language, Member Secretary of Goa State Commission for Backward Classes and Member Secretary of Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. Former Mines Secretary Sanjay Goel will deal with Power, Non-Conventional Energy, Panchayat, Rural Development Agency, and be Nodal Officer for ODF and Swach Bharat Mission and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services.
PS Reddy is the new Secretary for Administrative Reforms, WRD, Labour and Employment, Factories and Boilers, Tribal Welfare, Gazetteer and Handicrafts, Textiles and Coir.
Sudhir Mahajan, will hold charge of Urban Development, Industries, Trade and Commerce, Revenue, Law Judiciary and Legislative Affairs, Information and Publicity, Institute of Public Assistance and Provedoria.
B R Singh will be Secretary for Health, Housing, Town and Country Planning, Sports and Youth Affairs, Agriculture, Women and Child Development, Craftsmen Training and Skill Development and General Administration.
Rupesh Kumar Thakur has been appointed as Secretary to Governor and will hold Museum, Archaeology, Archives, Printing and Stationery and Civil Supplies.
Govind Jaiswal is the Secretary for Ports, River Navigation, Fisheries, Sp Secretary (Vigilance) and Legal Metrology. All the secretaries are IAS officers.
