The High Court of Bombay at Goa adjourns the hearing on a petition filed by the Goa government challenging the order of the Mapusa JMFC Court to send Curlie’s owner Edwin Nunes into judicial #custody, for Monday.
Already 24 hours ago, JMFC Mapusa granted two days of police custody to the accused Sukhwinder Singh and Sudhir
Sangwan in the Sonali Phogat murder case.
Singh and Sangwan, the main accused in the
murder case of actor and BJP leader Sonali Phogat, were earlier sent to 10-day
police custody. The police custody has been extended for two more days. Phogat’s
brother, Rinku Dhaka had filed a complaint against the two accused at Anjuna
Police Station alleging that the duo had murdered his sister and it was not a
case of natural death due to a heart attack. JMFC Mapusa has reserved its order
on the bail plea of Edwin Nunes for Wednesday afternoon.
To date, five persons have been arrested
in the alleged murder case. Investigations into the case have revealed that
Phogat was allegedly drugged on the night of her murder. The victim’s family has
demanded a CBI probe in the case.
