PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa on Tuesday directed the State government and State Election Commission (SEC) to hold elections in 15 wards of 11 village panchayats on or before July 2, 2017.
The Bench gave the direction based on an application filed by the SEC seeking extension of time in holding the elections in the disputed wards following the stay from the Supreme Court on the HC’s order on delimitation and reservation notification of May 16, 2017.
