PONDA: The Health Department Ponda had warned the house owners residing at Sapna Park Ponda of disconnecting water connections, for releasing their waste water into roadside gutters causing nuisance to the general public.Since the waste water of the building has been coming to the road for the past many years, the health department has issued a notices to five house/ bungalow owners and warned them that water supply will be stopped if necessary corrective measures are not taken by them within 10 days.
Since these houses/ bungalow owners have not made any sewage disposal arrangement, their dirty water comes directly into the drain. During the rainy season, this water over flows onto the road. A year ago, the officials of the health department had inspected the area. Even at that time, the dirty water was flowing into the drains. Even as the health authorities had warned the locals to take remedial measures the house/bungalow owners did not take action.
Manoj Naik Sanitary Inspector of Ponda Primary Health Centre said, taking cognisance of the complaint filed by Curti Khandepar Panchayat, the Health Department served notices to five house/bungalow owners.
