There was a heated discussion over the taxi issue in Goa Assembly regarding the dues to be paid by Goa Miles to Goa Government. Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte backed app-based taxi aggregators and said Goa infact requires a model like Goa Miles, where the taxi operators are not made to pay from their pocket while aggregator charges convenience fees from the customers and pay directly to the govt. Goa Chief Minister cautioned MLAs not to play politics with the taxi issue.
