Hindu body wants law for temples

PANJIM, JAN 10 The Akhil Goa Mandir Suraksha Samiti at its convention on Saturday evening has demanded a law for protection of temples in Goa. A resolution to this effect was adopted in the presence of a huge congregation of Hindus at Campal.

A resolution to this effect was adopted in the presence of a huge congregation of Hindus at Campal.
During the convention today, incidents of vandalism reported during last two years were condemned.
The convention had the presence of leading Hindu religious heads from various parts of the country. The meeting also adopted nine other resolutions for protection of the rights of Hindus in Goa.
The resolution demands the strict implementation of the law banning cow slaughter in addition to the demand for revocation of the transfer of police officers involved in the Vasco madarasa incident.
