MARGAO: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, who is on a private visit to Goa, advised the State Congress leaders to reach out to each and every person in the State and win their trust again.
Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Amit Patkar along with Leader of the Opposition Yuri Alemao and MLAs Adv Carlos Alvares Fereira and Altone D’Costa met Sukhu at a hotel in South Goa, and discussed on strengthening the party organisation in the State.
“We discussed with Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu how to take the Pradesh Congress to the grassroots and make the party strong again ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections,” said Patkar.
He said, “Sukhu advised them to bring the grassroots workers together and hold frequent meetings to listen to their grievances and urge them to raise their voices against the State government’s wrong decisions.”
The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister has also assured the State leaders that he will provide full assistance to them, whenever needed.
“He (Sukhu) advised us to go to people once more and win their trust. People are facing lots of issues due to inflation and corruption. He advised us to fight for people,” Patkar said.
