A large, old mango tree collapsed onto the road at Baga on Thursday, causing temporary traffic disruption in the area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Following the collapse, a team from the Mapusa Fire Department promptly reached the spot and undertook clearance operations to remove the fallen tree, which was blocking the roadway.

The road was successfully cleared with the assistance of Arpora former panchayat member Celfa Fernandes and present panchayat member Steffi Fernandes, helping restore normal vehicular movement.
Authorities have advised motorists to remain cautious, especially during adverse weather conditions, as similar incidents may occur due to ageing trees.
