PANJIM: Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar said he has always cooperated with ACB and reported to the officer on time for questioning even when the summons have been orally or over the phone. Kavlekar, who is out of station said he had asked his family members to cooperate with the agency.
He said, “I had fully cooperated with ACB for the last seven years and deposed before them over 15 times. At least three times they have searched my residence, office and factory.”
He said that queries that were raised have been answered in writing through his chartered accountant. “It is very clear in my records, I have not hidden anything from ACB. ACB is convinced with my replies. Whatever loan I had obtained and every transaction with the inquiry was handed over to ACB.”
Kavlekar also said he would not apply for anticipatory bail. “I have not hidden anything. I will fully cooperate with the agency and I feel there is no need to go for the anticipatory. I want that the case to be disposed off, so that truth will prevail,” Kavlekar said.
