VALPOI: The incessant and heavy rains, for last four days, have taken its toll in Sattati taluka.
While main town road in Valpoi was flooded with water, the Valvanti river was overflowing, with the river swallowing large chunks of land in remote villages of Velus, Hivrem, Morlem and Ustem.
As expected, the Valpoi Fire Brigade office was inundated with calls and four specifically reported the falling of trees and damage to private and public property.
A mango tree fell on road near Khadki bridge, while a coconut tree got uprooted and fell on road in Honda village, damaging electric power supply wires and pole.
