PANJIM: Former IAS officer, C P Vyas on Tuesday launched his political outfit ‘Indian Oceanic Party’ in Goa with the aim to curb corruption.
Addressing the media, Vyas said, “The Indian Oceanic Party was formed in 2010. The objective of the party is to empower and strengthen the people of the country. The party main office is in Delhi and it has organisations in 17 different States and has over 4.5 lakh members all over India and over 100 members in Goa.”
Accusing the BJP, Vyas said, “BJP appeals to keep the country clean through Swach Bharat Abhiyan. Considering the serious garbage problems in the State, the government of Goa is unable to control the problems of garbage in the State. IOP has formulated a plan to make Goa clean and beautiful, which will be strictly implemented once it comes to power.”
He said that Indians are charged tax for Swach Bharat Abhiyan but no one knows where the money goes and nothing is accounted and shown to the people of the nation.
“We have never contested elections before, but if we get support from the people of Goa than we will contest the by-elections,” Vyas stated.
Speaking on the beef issue, Vyas said, “Why should anyone enter into someone else’s food habits? The party has a policy for the whole country which will come into play if the party wins the 2019 elections.”
