VASCO, JAN 5
A joint Indo-French exercise ‘Varuna’ with the participation of Indian and French Naval ships and aircraft will take place from January 7 to 11 off Goa’s coast.
The Indian Navy will be represented by the aircraft carrier ‘Viraat’, frigates Godavari, Ganga and the submarine Shalki.
The French Navy will be represented by the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, destroyers Forbin and Tourville, the tanker Meuse and submarine Amethyste.
