In a surprise development, Income Tax sleuths on Wednesday raided the office and factory belonging to Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane.
The raids were conducted by the Karnataka circle of the I-T Department at Karapur Agro Pvt Ltd office at Miramar and the factory at Karapur, Bicholim.
There was no information available on the raids.
The officials in the I-T Department in Panjim when contacted claimed they had no knowledge about the raids.
On the other hand, attempts to contact Rane for his comments proved futile while his office staff refused to make any comment.
