TIVIM: Assuring to accord top priority to horticulture in Tivim constituency, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has also pledged to set up an industrial estate in the constituency next year.
Parrikar was addressing a gathering in the presence of local MLA Kiran Kandolkar and State BJP President Vinay Tendulkar at the Sirsaim Comunidade hall.
“Horticulture will be given priority in this constituency and locals can benefit from it. Also, an industrial estate will be set up next year, as there is scope to set up good industries here. Karraswado is already loaded with industries and has no land,” said Parrikar.
Commenting on allegations that his government had not done anything, Parrikar said, “Solutions cannot come overnight and they require time. If problems are there today, why have these problems not been solved in the last 50 years,” asked Parrikar.
He also informed that he intends to visit villages from January onwards to apprise people on development works undertaken by the State BJP government.
Others present at the function included sarpanchas of villages in Tivim constituency.
