Industries must provide jobs to Goans: BJP

MARGAO: Stating that Goa doesn’t need advice from the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Urfan Mulla said they will not tolerate any industry in the State if jobs are not given to the Goans.

Briefing the media persons, here, along with Margao BJP Chief Rupesh Mahatme, Fatorda Mandal President Manohar Borkar and Navelim Chief Paresh Naik, Mulla said the BJP government is very much serious on the employment issue and the party has already started the process to fill the government jobs.

“The process of filling up government jobs, which is nearly 10,000 in numbers, has started. The BJP has concerns about the unemployed youth of Goa. The government has also set in motion to provide Rs 5,000 to the small businessmen, mostly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.

He further said that the BJP government and Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant is working hard towards the betterment of Goa and more especially for the welfare of the common man.

Mulla charged the APP and said they don’t need any guidance and advice from the others. “These leaders are only making false promises keeping eye on the upcoming elections in Goa,” he alleged.

He said the BJP government will not hesitate to shut down industries if they fail to provide 80 per cent jobs to the unemployed Goan youth.
