The infant is a daughter of a Jharkhand family that was staying at rented house at Balli. The infant was playing alone outside the rented room when fell into a bucket of water kept outside.
The infant’s mother working inside the house and she failed to notice the incident.
Cuncolim police stated that they received a call from the doctor on-duty at the Primary Health Centre, Balli, informing them that a child named Adlin, daughter of Praveen Bhinz was brought dead to the PHC.
Accordingly, the Cuncolim police visited the spot, conducted inquest and scene panchanama. The body of the infant is preserved at Hospicio Hospital Margao, for further legal formalities. Cuncolim Police registered this incident as unnatural death. The case is under investigation.
