PONDA: South Goa Collector Swapnil Naik on Friday issued order for installing CCTV cameras in the Navdurga temple premises to monitor upcoming Zatra festival celebrations.
The decision to install CCTVs at the temple was taken at the meeting held at the South Goa Collectorate which was attended by managing committee of Navdurga temple, Navdurga Prathistan of Marcaim villagers and police officials.
The Collector has asked both parties to cooperate to ensure peaceful zatra festival celebrations. The Zatra festival will conclude on 23 November.
The Collector will be assisted by Ponda Mamlatdar, who is the temple administrator as per directions of the court.
