Inter-religious meet at Sanguem

SANGUEM: A large crowd of different faiths participated in the inter-religious meeting organised by Miracles Church at Sanguem in its hall recently. Well known writer and social workers Sandip Mapari, Maulana Mohammad Siddique and Fr. Elvis Altone Fernandes addressed the gathered crowd. In his address, Mapari stressed the need for people to remain united and retain the communal harmony for which Goa is so much respected.

“We should continue with our old bonds and make Goa an ideal State for people in other parts,” he said while cautioning people against growing crime and corruption in the state.

Maulana Mohammad Siddique said the unity amongst Goans where all religions walk hand in hand is a true sign of humanity.

While Fr Elvis complimented Miracles Church for organising such an inter-religious meeting, Sanguem Parish Priest Fr Remedio D’Silva proposed the vote of thanks for the programme that was compered by Fr Cruz D’Silva.
