VALPOI: The main road of Narayan Nagar, Honda Sattari is in a very bad condition since last five years. The whole road is full of potholes.
The residents say that riding on the road is causing them back problems; and due to its bad condition many accidents have occurred on this road.
“Despite several complaints to the village panchayat, no one is ready to take action,” a resident said.
The villagers say that they have already informed their panch about the bad condition of the road.
“But the panch is useless. He is not doing any work giving excuse that the panchayat does not have the sufficient fund to repair their road,” another villager said.
Angry at the apathy of the officials, the villagers met their MLA Pratapsing Rane and threatened to vote against him if he does not repair the road.
“Due to the very bad condition of our ward road, we are facing many health problems. Several times we informed our panch. But she is not taking any action. So we all residents of Narayan Nagar will march to the Honda panchayat to highlight the problems,” Omkar Desai, a villager, said.
