VALPOI: The roads in Narayan Nagar ward in the 11-member Honda Panchayat are in bad shape as several such routes have developed potholes which has resulted in a number of accidents in the area.
When contacted, Omkar Desai, a resident complained saying, “We are facing many problems, while commuting along these roads, which are full of potholes and due to this many accidents have occurred. We had complained to our former and current panch members regarding the bad road conditions but they have failed to take any action.”
Another local Devidas Gaonkar said, “The gutters are stinking and have been choked due to plastic and other waste dumped in them.”
Panch Purnali Kerikar, says, “Development of my ward is my priority. And right now, I am working in that direction. After monsoon, all roads in the ward will be hot-mixed.”
