I willingly stand and support my home team FC Goa. It’s time to show people that we Goans stand by our team through good times and bad. We will not let the image of our home team get ruined and won’t let the beautiful game go up in ashes in the spiritual home of Indian Football. We are in this together. Let’s get together as one big family like we always do and get rid of this nuisance. Viva Goa. Força Goa. #OneDreamOneTeam #LetsBackTheGaurs

We are die-hard fans of FC GOA. Yes, we will definitely help in paying the fine and show AIFF that we want football to grow and shine. We wish FC GOA a bright season ahead with all the Goan support.

Hello FC Goa. It’s saddening that AIFF is in a loss and is begging FC Goa to pay Rs 50lakh. If this is what they want, we will pay but assure us of fair play. I stand by Mr Salgaocar, the Herald team, FC Goa and all football fans of Goa.
— Rajesh Thakur, by email
Hello my Goan brothers and sisters. I support and contribute towards this great cause by the Herald Group. Viva Goa.
— Marushka D’Silva, by email
Hello to all the fans. Viva Goa! Viva FC Goa! Viva Zico! A fine of Rs 50 lakh? We expect fair play and a fair game. Seems like the AIFF is bankrupt. But we Goans are not. We stand in support of the team. We will pay the money needed but need assurance that justice will be done on the pitch. We are behind Mr Salgaocar. He is not alone.
— Nakita Dsouza, by email
I am ready to contribute towards this initiative and I willingly stand by our home team. Let’s get together and show our support to the haters. Viva Goa, Força Goa.

Hi FC Goa Fans and the entire team. I stand by with the team the initiative taken by the Herald Group in support of the team. Football is in our blood and we seek justice and fair play regarding what happened. I stand whole heartedly with this initiative of Herald. I will contribute.
— Praveen, by email
I personally don’t think that any Goan would be hesitant to pay a sum of Rs 50 for this initiative. I think this is a great step taken to prove our love for our team, and I am willing to do this. Let’s all get together and literally show India that we really back our team through thick and thin. Viva Goa, Força Goa. #LetsDoThis.
– Sibyl D’Souza, by email
Hi FC Goa and fans. Let’s not bother if it’s Rs 50 lakh or Rs 50 crore. We Goans don’t fear anyone. We just need a fair football game. We stand by our team and support the owners. We shall support the initiative taken by the Herald Group. We Sunset Cottages fans will contribute to this initiative. Viva Goa.
— Sunset Cottage Supporters
We have all witnessed what happened during the finals. And I guess it’s not only me. Fellow Goans will also support this venture in large numbers. Let’s do it. We are with you. Forca Goa!

If we can pay for the overpriced tickets, surely we can donate to our team! AIFF will realize their mistake when Goans protest during the next edition of ISL!
— Olivio Francisco Barreto, by email
Thanks for your kind appeal. We can do it for sure. Very unfair on behalf of the AIFF for imposing such a heavy fine and truly the same money could be utilized toward the development of the beautiful game. But somewhere, we too are at fault and being a loyal fan, I would love to do the best for my team. FORCA GOA.

It was a natural reaction by FC Goa owners not to attend the prize distribution ceremony after the manner in which the owners were treated by the organizers. No action was taken on the player’s conduct. It was unsporting though. By the way, what happens to the wrongs committed by the organizers? Has the AIFF Disciplinary Committee sent notices to the Organizers of ISL and the player involved who abused the owners of FC Goa? Has the AIFF Disciplinary Committee heard the organizers on what action they took over the complaint from FC Goa owners on this matter, before taking this harsh decision? Sir, this fund to pay the fine is a fabulous act on your part. It’s a wonderful way of showing love for FC Goa. Forca Goa.
— George Pereira, Ribandar
I agree with the suggestion made by Herald in the edit dt. 05/03 to contribute towards the Rs 50 lakh fine imposed on FC Goa. What happened in the heat of the moment is over now and we have to look forward to the next ISL season and not repeat our past mistakes. Please try to organize a way of collecting the money and we can all show AIFF that we all care for FC Goa and we shall stand by our players and team management.
— Matias Lobo, Oman
At the outset, I wish to convey my support to the bold initiative taken by Herald for creation of a fund for collection and payment of the fine imposed on our team FC Goa. Thank you for the same. I would like to suggest that we keep aside Rs 100 instead of the suggested Rs 50 so that at an estimated 50,000 contributions, we would be able to collect the entire amount of the unjust fine of Rs 50 lakh. This is the least we can do for our team. So let’s do it. Kindly note that IMG Reliance has fleeced football lovers of Goa by resorting to mass black-marketing of the entrance tickets for the ISL 2015 final. The organizers deliberately held back tickets of the final match and sold them at exorbitant prices to Goan football fans. The evidence was that the black marketeers were distributing banners along with the tickets sold in black, with the message on the banner “Thank you Nita Madam for reviving football in India”. None of the Goan fans brought these banners into the stadium that day.
— Anthony Pereira, Fatorda
I think this is a great initiative by Herald. For all football lovers and supporters of FC Goa who were present at the stadium (like me) for the finals, and the rest who watched on TV, love football first. We could see the rough play and how FC Goa strikers were marked and brought down constantly. It is unfair that such a harsh fine be slapped on FC Goa. Goa has always been a football loving state. My wife and I attended the finals, so we have kept our Rs 100 aside for the cause.
— Glenn Kalavampara, by email
This is the best way we can show our support to our bravehearts who put up a great show. Regarding the amount of Rs 50, I think people of Goa won’t mind shelling out even 10 times more for our brave gaurs. Viva Goa, FORCA GOA.
— Selborne Gracias, by email
Our team was very hurt after what the referees did. I was watching the game on television and I felt so hurt the way the referee behaved and took sides. If I, a common person felt the pain and anger watching on TV, what our team must have gone through when they faced it personally face to face, I don’t know. Yes we should go ahead with this initiative. Forcaaaaaa Goa.
— Lourdina M Fernandes, by email
Forca Goa! We can, yes we can contribute to the unjust fine of Rs 50 lakh. Your appeal is right. FC Goa represents not only the State, but every Goenkar irrespective of class/caste/religion. People will definitely give as much as each one deems fit. We have an entire team at Nostalgia Raia who feel the same. We are with you and the Herald. Bravo!
— Margarida Tavora e Costa, by email
It’s fine, we will pay. It’s a very good idea! And yes, the refereeing should be reviewed. The bias was so clear!
— Agnelo Desa, by email
My contribution through five members of my family is Rs 250. Forca Goa! This is a unique initiative.
— Gerson Rebello, by email
I’m ready to pay Rs. 100 towards the fine levied against FC Goa.
— Nikhil Shirsat, by email
Hello Goa, Goan Fans, Mr Salgaonkar, Herald team. What do you want 50 lacs
AIFF are you so cheap, you are looting the Goan team, you want our FC goan team to be deprived with playing foot ball. Don’t dare to. I support this great cause by the herald group and contribute.
— Silvester D’Souza, by email
Where do we have to fund that 50 rs … as we are FC Goa fans let’s all collect money from everyone and pay the fine. Are you all ready Goans?
