Javdekar to hold talks with farmers in State today

PANJIM: Ahead of the crucial interaction with farmers on the controversial farm bills recently passed by the Parliament, Union Minister for Environment and Forests Prakash Javdekar arrived in Goa on Friday evening. 

He was received by Minister Milind Naik and BJP State President Sadanand Sheet Tanavade.

The union minister will interract with farmers at Chorao and Mayem on Saturday, Tanavade told Herald. 

Javdekar will explain to them about the Farm Bills that were passed recently in the Parliament. He is also likely to meet agriculture stakeholders in the State capital. While the interactions are not open for the media, Javdekar will hold a press briefing on Sunday to summarise his meet.
