Jellyfish at Colva beach catches tourists unaware

MARGAO: An unusual visitor to the Colva beach on Saturday noon created a scare amongst tourists and visitors alike.

MARGAO: An unusual visitor to the Colva beach on Saturday noon created a scare amongst tourists and visitors alike.
Life guards stood guard to issue warning messages over mega phones to domestic tourists as jelly fish made its presence felt at the beach this evening. Around 20 tourists, who were caught unawares by the jelly fish, were attended to by life guards at their tower.
Lifeguards told Herald that the jelly fish started making its presence felt at the beach around noon and soon a sizeable number of the fish was found washed ashore.
Domestic tourists, who were swimming in the choppy water, later complained of rash on their bodies, prompting the lifeguards to warn visitors about the unexpected visitors.
