MARGAO: An unidentified individual gained entry into a rented room by forcibly breaking the main door lock and stole a gold chain and a ring valued at Rs 65,000. Police have registered an offence based on a complaint lodged by Ashok Devidas, a resident of Xeldem-Quepem. The case has been filed under Section 331(3) and Section 305 of the BNS. According to the police, the theft occurred on November 20, at approximately 9 am at the complainant’s rented accommodation. Further investigation into the case is underway.
