PANJIM: In an interesting development, the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Panjim has asked police to file an FIR against the Director of Fire and Emergency Services in the fake certificate case.
Complainant Sudip Tamankar had alleged that F&ES Director Ashok Menon had forged documents to secure government employment and also promotions in the Directorate, which he was ineligible for and thereby committed offence punishable under Section 420, 468 and 471 of IPC.
On hearing the complaint, JMFC, Saee A Prabhudesai ordered that an FIR be registered against Menon.
