MARGAO: A juvenile resident of Mandopa, Navelim, was apprehended by Margao town police for allegedly committing burglary at a house in Mandopa. The stolen cash and gold ornaments were recovered from the juvenile.
Ataulla Hayat Sab Tadas, a resident of Mandopa, Navelim, complained that on December 24, between 11 hours and 12.30 hours, some unknown accused persons effected entry into his house by breaking open the lock of the main door and decamped with cash of Rs 1,00,000 and gold ornaments (two pairs of gold ear rings, two gold finger rings, one gold chain) worth Rs 90000 from the cupboard.
The police have registered an offence under sections 454, 380 of IPC and further investigation is in progress.
