MARGAO: The BJP Margao Mandal on Thursday criticised the five-time Margao MLA Digambar Kamat for allegedly keeping the town backward in development and for not solving various problems faced by the town’s residents.
BJP launched its attack on Kamat as he completes 25 of continuous years of representing the Margao constituency in the Goa Legislative assembly.
BJP Spokesman Sunil Naik criticised the Margao MLA saying that he is not working actively in finding a solution for Sonsoddo. “Despite completing one full term as chief minister, Kamat failed to conceive the South Goa District Hospital; he left incomplete the Ring Road, education hub and other major projects of Margao,” he alleged.
When asked whether they agree that the Kamat’s model of people’s representation is liked by the people who have elected and elected him for 25 years, Naik had nothing to comment.
