DGP Om Prakash, was who was in Belgaum on Wednesday, was speaking to media persons after reviewing the passing out parade of the new batch of the Karnataka State Reserved Police (KSRP). The passing out parade was held at the KSRP Center at Macche along the Belgaum-Goa road.
Informing that the construction of the new KSRP training school building, built at a cost of Rs 8 crore, located at Kangrali KH is at the finishing stage, he said disciplined men in uniform, imparted with tough training is the need of the hour.
As many as 358 recruits, who availed training for nine months at their respective training schools at Belgaum, Shimoga, Shiggaon and Vijayapura, participated in the passing out parade.
Prakash handed over the awards to the recruits who showed their outstanding performances during their training period.
Additional Director General of Police KSRP Praveen Sood, Inspector General of Police of KSRP Malini Krishnamurthy, IGP (Northern Range, Belgaum) Umesh Kumar, Belgaum city Police Commissioner S Ravi, SP Ravikante Gowda and others were present on the occasion.
DGP Prakash also obtained information of the meeting of the interstate police officials that was held in Belgaum on Monday and rendered his guidance apart from assuring his support to the new initiative.
