PONDA: The annual zatra of Shree Shantadurga Temple, Kavlem will be held from February 12 to 20.
The zatra will be held following all religious rituals, informed temple committee president Triloknath Borkar in the presence of secretary Dilip Gaytonde and attorney Manoj Hede.
Borkar said, “Due to the prevailing COVID pandemic, social distancing norms will be followed during the zatra. The main zatra will be held on February 16 with the procession of Goddess Shantadurga in Suvarna Shibika (golden palkhi) followed by Shree procession in Maha Rath.
Parking arrangements have been made at various places near temple premises with support of the Traffic Police.
Besides religious rituals and palkhi procession, cultural programmes will also be held.
On February 13, Marathi drama “Ashi Hi Banva Banvi” will be staged followed by “Swar Chandanyache” a musical programme on February 14. “AvaJ Konkancha”, a musical programme will be held on February 15 followed by another musical programme “Sangeet Rajani” on February 16. “Swar Sadana” programme will be held on February 18.
