MARGAO: The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday said that the party’s national leader Arvind Kejriwal would hold a rally at Lohia Maidan in Margao on April 13.
Addressing the media, Lok Sabha candidate and party convener Elvis Gomes said the Delhi Chief Minister would arrive in Goa at around 3 pm and then directly address a public rally at the historic Lohia Maidan.
Gomes said that various public interest groups had shown interest to discuss issues affecting Goans in the State.
“Those fighting for important issues such as coal, land use, CRZ, Mopa and issues affecting Taxis, NRIs and seafarers, have shown keen interest to meet Kejriwal,” said Gomes. He added that that the mood of the people was clearly swinging towards AAP, which is contesting both the Lok Sabha seats and two assembly by-polls.
Meanwhile, Gomes refuted all allegations of being the ‘B’ team of the BJP and in the fray to split votes. He showed details in chronological order about the number of splits suffered by the Congress since the past 25 years and said that there was nothing left to be split anymore.
“Everyone knows who supports the BJP by exporting its MLAs. People are not ready to buy this argument,” said Gomes.
