MAPUSA: Mapusa Police arrested a resident of Khorlim, Mapusa one Sachin Vikas Shirodkar for allegedly stalking and molesting a woman at Ganganagar, Khorlim.
According to Mapusa Police, the incident occurred on Tuesday when the victim had gone to attend stitching classes. However, since the classroom was closed she decided to walk to her sister’s house at Ganganagar. The accused chased the victim, grabbed and molested her. After the victim raised an alarm, the accused fled from the scene. Acting on the complaint, the police rushed to the spot and conducted the panchanama.
On Thursday night, the police arrested accused on suspicion.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to have chased the woman under the influence of alcohol and molested her.
The accused has been booked under Sections 354 and 354 (d) of the IPC.

Podocem youth held for kidnapping minor girl
SATTARI: Valpoi Police on Saturday arrested 21-year-old from Zariwada, Podocem one Dhana Kaskar for allegedly kidnapping a minor girl from Nagargao.
Kaskar befriended the minor on Facebook. Later, both shared their contact numbers and started meeting each other.
On Friday, Kaskar visited the girl house and later took her with him at an unknown location. As the girl failed to return home, her family filed a missing complaint at the Valpoi Police Station.
According to Valpoi Police, they arrested the Kaskar from Podocem in this connection. Further investigation is on.
