MARGAO: The South Goa Collectorate on Saturday asked Rosary Higher Secondary School, Navelim principal Victoria De Souza to strictly comply with the State-level curfew order issued by the government and not to hold the first internal test for students in offline mode without prior approval.
The directions from the South Goa Collectorate were issued on the backdrop of announcement of offline first internal test for Class XII students from Monday.

The delegation of students and parents met the principal and requested her not to hold the test in offline mode in view of the curfew in force to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
NSUI president Naushad Chaudhari said the principal assured them that a decision will be taken after discussing the matter with the school committee. He said the students also met Navelim MLA Luizinho Faleiro and requested him to oppose the offline test since students are not vaccinated.
Chadhuary said Faleiro immediately intervened and requested the school administrator not to hold exams in offline mode.
According to NSUI president, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has given option to hold exams in offline and online mode and appealed to the principal not to conduct exams in offline mode since most students are not vaccinated.
During the discussion, the principal told the students’ delegation that some institutions had already conducted exams in offline and online mode and many higher secondary schools had not yet scheduled the exams. She also asked students why the issue was not raised when some HSS conducted exams in offline mode.
