MARGAO: Colva Police succeeded in arresting in Uttar Pradesh 24-year-old Rashid Malik, a native of Uttarakand, and rescued the minor girl he had kidnapped and brought both of them to Goa on Saturday.
The girl’s father had lodged a complaint with the Colva police on March 7 that his minor daughter was kidnapped by Rashid on March 5 at 7.30 am and accordingly the police conducted their investigations.
Police Sub-Inspector Francis Xavier along with two police constables left for Uttar Pradesh and with the help of Saharanpur police caught Rashid and rescued the minor girl on March 8 and they returned to Goa with them on Saturday.
The entire investigation was supervised by Police Inspector Rahul Parab.
