PONDA: Vinay Desai, aged 35 and a resident of Karnataka was killed in a fatal mishap at Mollem yesterday.
Collem police stated that the incident happened when a speeding car proceeding from Mollem to Ponda dashed against a parked vehicle and later banged into a car coming from opposite direction.
The impact was such that the driver lost control of his car and the vehicle dashed against a roadside tree killing Vinay on the spot. Ankit Jadhav, the driver of the speeding car was arrested by the Ponda Police for rash and negligent driving.
