Kyndiah next Goa governor?

Former Union Tribal Affairs Minister P R Kyndiah, who opted out of the recent Lok Sabha elections in the Shillong seat in Meghalaya in favour of newcomer Vincent Pala, may be rewarded with the post of Governor.
Among his likely postings is Goa, apart from Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, according to a report in The Telegraph, Kolkata
Kyndiah opted out primarily because of his advanced years. He had won the Shillong Lok Sabha seat in 1998 and also the midterm poll in 1999. He was re-elected from Shillong in 2004 and became a minister in the UPA Government. From 1993 to 1998, he was the governor of Mizoram.
Kyndiah was Cabinet minister of Meghalaya four times from 1975 to 1988 and also served as the Speaker of the Meghalaya Assembly from 1989 to 1993.
