Laadli Laxmi scheme date extended

PANJIM: The Goa government has extended the last date for submitting Laadli Laxmi applications to June 30, two months after the process was kept on hold due the lockdown in view of COVID-19 pandemic. 

“The Directorate of Women and Child Development has informed that the inward of Laadli Laxmi Scheme applications at Directorate of Women and Child Development was kept on hold since March 22, 2020 to May 3, 2020, in view of the lockdown due to outbreak of COVID-19. As such, many applicants, whose last date for applying under the Laadli Laxmi Scheme, was during March 22, 2020 to May 3, 2020 could not apply under the scheme in the specified period. In view of the above, the period of submission of such Laadli Laxmi Scheme applications are extended up to June 30,” a press statement released by the Directorate of Information and Publicity Department states.
