PANJIM: The staff and students of Goa University have been put on high alert following reports of a leopard sighting in the neighbourhood of the campus.
Speaking to Herald, GU Registrar VS Nadkarni said that as a precautionary measure, all the employees and students are advised to be vigilant and alert during their movement in and around the campus.
He said that there was news about a leopard sighting in the close proximity of the All India Radio (AIR) premises. As per the advisory, all campus residents are advised not to move around alone, especially from 6.30pm to 7.30am.
