PANJIM: While the Goa government was considering granting permission to two electronic dance music (EDM) festivals in the coastal belt, local organiser Life Media has decided to drop its plans. A letter to this effect was submitted to the State Level Permission Committee (SLPC), chaired by Chief Secretary Dharmendra Sharma in a meeting on Thursday. “The local organiser has withdrawn from hosting the EDM. We are not aware as to why,” Sharma told Herald.
SLPC has been meeting to discuss proposals submitted by Ahmedabad-based Sudarshan Entertainment Pvt Ltd and the Pernem-based firm on hosting separate EDMs in December.
The SLPC is expected to hold another meeting on December 10 when the ‘Time Out’ organiser is likely to submit required permissions from the authorities concerned for the event.
