PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa has quashed the FIR filed against Cajetan Cardoz, general manager of a river cruise that had charged him with allegedly criminally intimidating a government officer last year.
A complaint filed by the Captain of Ports James Braganza had stated that on November 8, 2016 River and Navigation Department Inspector Vinod Kubal was controlling traffic at the Betim ferry ramp when Cardoz, of Swastik Cruise made an attempt to park one of his vehicles at the ramp. The complaint mentioned that the Inspector objected to this which resulted in an argument between the duo. Kubal then alleged that Cardoz threatened him of dire consequences. Adv Arun De Sa denied any assault or criminal force against the government officer.
