BICHOLIM: Around 100 residents along with NGOs on Monday marched to the Bicholim Police Station demanding the arrest of all the accused involved in the alleged rape of a minor girl.
They also demanded a proper investigation into the case. It may be recalled that the Bicholim Police arrested 19-year-old Arman Khan from Muslimwada, Bicholim for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl from Bicholim.
During interrogation, the accused named eight others of being involved in the crime. Shailendra Velingkar on Sunday in a video had urged the people from Bicholim to march to the police station.
On Monday, Velingkar, Tara Kerkar, Aishwarya Salgaonkar and Vinayak Nanoskar along with around 100 residents of Bicholim marched to the police station. Following discussions with the PI they submitted a memorandum demanding the immediate arrest of all the accused involved in the crime. They also demanded the DNA tests of all the accused.’
