PANJIM: Plans to tow the offshore casino ship M V Lucky 7 out of Goan waters has been deferred till next week.
The vessel, which underwent temporary repairs including underwater welding, was expected to leave either to Jaigad dry dockyard or Dubai for permanent repairs on Saturday. However, an official of Golden Globe Hotels Pvt Ltd said that towing off the vessel is now likely till next week.
Two months after it ran aground at Miramar beach, the vessel was towed off to deeper waters 500 mtrs away from the beach for underwater survey and repairs.
on October 5. With the repairs nearly complete, it would be taken for permanent repairs to another dock yard following which authorities would conduct another survey to ascertain if it is fit to enter River Mandovi. Its operations as off shore casino will be taken up thereafter.
