People usually think of all the gadgets they can have and some think about gadgets other people have. It’s a pretty normal thing that we humans face. Since I have travelled to one of the most technologically advanced markets of the world, China, I can say that India is nowhere. Taking the simple example of BSNL, we are far behind. If I start talking about the net speeds offered in China, it’s just unbelievable. Nevertheless, I would like to share with you an advanced technology that most people don’t know about. Have you ever hear about 3D printing? 3D Printing is a form of technology that is used in very less parts of the globe and I can say that I was fortunate enough to see how it works. There are various forms of printing, but this one is totally unique. With 3D printing, one can just replicate any product or an entire design.
If I tell you that there was an entire working Audi vehicle that was 3D printed, I am sure you would not be able to digest this fact. 3D printing is the fastest and quite an expensive way to replicate big products as well as small ones within a shorter span of time. I myself was shocked to see the 3D printing machine and it producing lamps, toys and even other shocking things.
We are in an immensely populated world that connects us with people through various social means but we fail to learn about foreign things that actually exist. When I was in China, I
saw products that are actually half the
price and coming back to India and
reconfirming the prices at stores here, it’s
just expensive. Want to know how?
China is the main hub where
duplication and replication happens.
The Chinese refused to sign the Treaty
and remained a Communist country that
carries out semi illegal activities that
actually benefit people to a huge extent.
If you were getting an Apple Mac Pro
for just Rs 20,000 in China, would you
decline?
Opening up the box, I would say
that it’s all business and there are various
versions of the same product which are
called ‘copies’ and ‘master-copies’. The
products usually don’t carry warranty
but work for a long time just like the toy
you used to use when you were a kid.
Remember? Made In China!
