PANJIM: A crib presentation by Consua parishioners has been extended till January the 11, on popular demand.
The crib portrays the lives of Joseph Vaz, Mother Teresa, Francis Xavier, Agnelo de Souza, Gianna Molla, Oscar Romero and Ranni Mari and is open for viewers from 7 pm to 10 pm.
The journey in the crib reflects on the life of these saints and culminates in a short musical ‘Mog Thar Dina’, which helps one to reflect and be inspired to show this love of Christ in action by performing deeds of love.
“This work began towards the end of October. We felt that the exemplary life of these seven saints was apt to explain this love and something that people could imbibe.  With lot of meetings, the work was planned and organised. On this journey we also encountered many hurdles. We were faced with financial difficulties, shortage of time and also a great task of getting people together for this cause,” says Consua Parish Priest Adrian Furtado.
“At the same time we sought help in prayer through the saints’ intercessions. The work was divided into seven groups and completed by around 400 volunteers (parishioners),” he added.
The crib culminates with a short musical, ‘Mog thar dina’ which is performed by three sets of actors, and has completed around 111 shows. This work was inaugurated by Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao on December 26 and has been viewed by thousands of people.
