The application of Yallama Yallappa Harijan, aged 40 years, will be heard on November 7. Shobha Karmali, a senior citizen, was murdered at her residence 20 days ago.
On investigation, the police have learnt that some household items have been from the house.
However, the gold ornaments that late Karmali was wearing were not robbed.
The police suspect that the murder may have been committed by someone known to late Karmali.
