MARGAO: Opposition Leader Digambar Kamat on Saturday once again urged the government to make optimum use of intranet facility which will be a turning point for online and distance education in Goa.
The Opposition Leader said, “The government now needs to ensure that hassle-free network connection is made available to every student and teacher across the State. I am disturbed by the reports of students climbing hills and walking three-four kilometres in some villages in search of network connection to attend online classes”.

“The intranet facility has already reached almost all the talukas and the panchayats in Goa with the laying of underground optic fibre cables,” he said.
“The government needs to take the local cable operators into confidence and come out with a plan which will help the said facility reach every household in Goa,” the Opposition Leader added.
