The police on Saturday recovered a body of a male person, which was found floating in the Mandovi River near the Santa Monica Jetty at Panjim. The recovered body has been identified as that of 46-year-old Amit Gupta, a resident of Haryana. The police fished out the body from the river and sent it for post-mortem. The police recovered a mobile phone, cash, cards and a lighter. Further investigations are on.
