Man dies of snake bite at Bicholim

BICHOLIM, SEPT 19
A 34-year-old man from Vinayaknagar-Mulgao, Bicholim, died, after he was bit by a snake bite on Saturday night.
According to reports, one Pradeep Parab saw a snake in his umbrella while returning from work on Saturday evening. On spotting the snake, Parab grabbed it and after swinging it in the air threw it on the ground.
Later, after having his dinner, Parab went to sleep.
However on Sunday morning, when the family members saw that Parab was not moving, they shifted him to PHC Bicholim, where he was declared dead.
“We have sent the body for post mortem, but we feel that he might have not noticed the snake bite and would have died due to the venom,” said PSI T P Walke. Bicholim Police is investigating the case.
