PONDA: Vikram Munnasingh Rajputh (25), residing in a rented room at Kundaim and a native of Madhya Pradesh, set himself on fire and committed suicide in front of Vishal Industries located in Kundaim Industrial Estate.
According to Ponda police, on Thursday at 9.30 am, Rajputh went to the Vishal Industries and requested its owner permission to visit his wife who is working the factory. Accordingly, the owner permitted Rajputh’s wife to meet him. It is learnt that Rajputh’s wife spoke to him for few minutes and later went back to work.
Thereafter, Rajputh reportedly to set himself on fire. Seeing this, factory employees rushed for his help and doused the fire. However, he received 70 percent burn injuries and was taken to GMC, where he succumbed to his injuries.
